George Brent (born George Brendan Nolan; March 15, 1904 – May 26, 1979) was an Irish-American stage, film, and television actor. He is best remembered for the eleven films he made with Bette Davis, which included Jezebel and Dark Victory.

For Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, he portrayed Douglas Beall in the 1934 film Stamboul Quest, Jack Townsend in the 1934 film The Painted Veil, and Captain Jeremy Bradford in the 1948 film Luxury Liner.
