Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes (/reɪf ˈfaɪnz/ rayf FYNZE[1]; born December 22, 1962(1962-12-22)) is an English actor, film producer, and director. A Shakespeare interpreter, he excelled onstage at the Royal National Theatre before having further success at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Widely regarded as one of Britain's most well-known and popular actors, he has received various accolades including a BAFTA Award and a Tony Award, as well as nominations for two Academy Awards and an Emmy Award.

In the James Bond series, he portrayed Gareth Mallory / M, the head of MI6, in Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021).
